You have an innate ability for psychological healing and growth.  When you are ready, therapy services can help support you through this work.  

 

I offer confidential individual mental health therapy for adults ages 18 years old or older who are facing general concerns about their mental health or well-being, such as:

​

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • grief  

  • trauma

  • stress

  • family and other relational concerns

  • emotional effects of abuse and oppression

  • adjustment issues and life transitions

  • career and professional dilemmas 

  • identity-related issues

  • decision-making difficulties 

  • poor self-esteem and other intra-personal issues

 

Examples of common overarching goals:

  • increase self-insight and self-compassion

  • deepen connections with others

  • clarify and commit to personal values

  • practice healthier habits of thinking and behavior

Summary of Services:

 

Free Initial Phone Orientation: ~10 minutes

The first step in initiating services is to schedule a phone orientation appointment.  During the phone orientation, you will have the opportunity to briefly explain the type of help you are looking for, ask any questions you might have, and, if you decide, schedule your first in-person appointment (the diagnostic assessment).  This is a chance for us to determine whether or not it makes sense to take the next step inn the process.  Please use the following link to schedule the free initial phone orientation (phone consultation).  NOTE: Phone consultation appointment slots are only released when I am able to accept new clients.

Diagnostic Assessment:  55-60 minutes

Your first in-person appointment will consist of a semi-structured diagnostic assessment.  During this time, we will to start to explore your current concerns.  I will also ask you questions regarding topics such as your mental health history, current and past stressors, social supports, family history, substance use, behavioral habits, and significant relationships.  By the end of the assessment, I will provide some initial insights and recommendations for therapy.

Individual Therapy: 55 minutes per session

Individual therapy appointments usually occur on a weekly to monthly basis depending on need and availability.  The course of therapy varies for each individual and will be tailored to your particular needs.
